Forget Idaho.

Tahquamenon Falls I

Laura and I just got back from a weekend in the Upper Peninsula. At every place we visited – Miner’s Castle, Grand Sable Dunes, Sable Falls and even Tahquamenon Falls – we were the only people.

Our own private UP … minus the 3 ft tall hair.Checking all these amazing attractions out made me wonder why there’s any season that Michigan isn’t mobbed by scenery seekers.

Here’s the slideshow and let me say that the trout from the fish market in Marquette is amazing!!

My thoughts exactly. This month I seem to be flying around the country a great deal. As I visit different locations & my thoughts wandered I thought, I have not found a spot in America that rivals Northern Michigan. We know there are other beautiful places but heh you just have to love it. It should at least be on everyone’s bucket list if not their number one vacation destination 🙂

Thanks April – as the economy has tanked I think that “stay-cations” are becoming more common. Fortunate for us that we live in such a beautiful place!

I recognize those falls. My wife and I toured the UP this past summer and enjoyed it. Cheers!

Thanks Farlane! We keep a video record of our Airstream travels and the UP certainly provided plenty of good material. Cheers!
