Wine harvest

Harvesting Reisling grapes in Leelanau

A migrant worker harvests Riesling grapes yesterday in Shady Lane Cellars’ vineyard on the Leelanau Peninsula. It was well over 80˚ (on October 8th) between the rows and this guy was moving so fast it was almost impossible to photograph him. Here’s a link to the large size and you can also click to view a few of the other photos I took at Shady Lane.

I think that this is one of the favorite photos that I’ve taken.

Congratulations. Wonderfully deep character in this shot.
    How is it in B&W?

Not a big Riesling fan personally, but I hope to pick up some Michigan wines in TC over Christmas.

I bet it would be pretty cool in B&W.

Glad you like it. It’s one of my favorite shots – thanks for commenting!
