In defense of the song it is a look at the f’ed up role of guns in our society, but that concept might be a little lofty for a 5 year old. I’ve heard that song a lot and I’ve even got my kids (6 and 5) listening to it because it was catchy, but now that I hear the words… I’m not so sure anymore. Sure a lot of songs are messed up but I guess in the radio version you can’t make out the words. “You better run, baby, run, faster than my bullet”.
