NBA Comix: Meet the “New Mavs”

Um. This really isn't funny. I am not laughing. NBA Playoff Competitiveness Commission. Preposterous.
Speaking of funny, quelquechose pointed out this look at the playoff wisdom of Shaq from ESPN & Marc Stein.
I have a new theory that it's not a blog if you don't have a blogroll. Sorry Mark Cuban and Deadspin. I'm not sure what it IS without the links to other sites … a NetPodium? Anyone have thoughts on this??

Blogrolls are out. Damn, you gotta keep up on this stuff.

Blogrolls are out? Who says? I need SOURCES.
My favorite youth culture expert Danah Boyd has some cool stuff on linking patterns … it’s old though.
I think I’m still going to keep one … it reminds me of places I like to go.

should a blogroll only roll blogs that have related content to you, or what you like to read? and why does david stern creep me the hell out?

My roll own is things I like to read (or would read if I had the time). Looking at it, I feel 50% guilt that I haven’t been to some of them in a while. Except for Tech Crunch. I think they did something bad to cre8d so I feel 100% guilt that they are even listed.
I could do related content but it would just be me and Yaysports and since Brian thinks that blogrolls are “out” I’d have nobody to link to.
As to the David Stern thing, I cannot imagine why he would creep anyone out. Truly I can’t. A total mystery.

Woah, that last one was dis-tur-bing.. it was the fat perv with that perv-y laugh too. Stern actually looks demure compared to him. Even the showgirl’s like.. “whyy…did I sell my soul..?”
farlane, love your comix(es?) I caught the link from SLAMonline and between you and Yaysports, it inspired me to do something (*cough*rip off* hehe) But more like paying homage, if you don’t mind me using a title like “NBA Toons:” Keep up the funnies.

I’m partial to the middle one. Looks like Dewayne came home late smelling of cheap wine just before that photo was taken.
I believe the proper term is “comixae”. I don’t mind at all. this one’s pretty funny. The NBA periodically decides it minds its name being spoken by the Unwashed Masses (see Sheed, Need4). Sort of how The Artist Formerly Known as James Dolan feels about his name).

Gotta be careful… Brian just makes things up 82% of the time.
For me, I categorize my blogroll. And I don’t limit it to just blogs. Throw anything you want people to see (or think people might want to see) on there. Or, should I say, just keep doing what you’re doing. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
And remember, for every billion dollars Mark Cuban has, his blogroll gets a billion links longer. They don’t actually exist, but the money makes you think they’re there.
